If you have lived in Lagos for a while or you are just visiting, you must have heard about Bolade in Oshodi. Bolade is one of the most popular and busiest junctions in the whole of Lagos State. It is known as a central point where people "drop" to connect to different parts of the mainland and even the island.
In the past, Bolade Oshodi was known for heavy traffic and plenty of "agberos," but things have changed. With the construction of the new Oshodi Transport Interchange (OTI), the area is now more organized. Whether you are going there to buy cheap clothes at the Arena Market or you want to "enter bus" going to Sango Ota or CMS, Bolade is the place to be.
Bolade is located within the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA). It is a very strategic location because it sits right along the Agege Motor Road and is very close to the popular Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
The terrain is mostly flat and highly commercial. Bolade serves as a border point between Oshodi and Shogunle (which leads towards Ikeja). If you are coming from Mushin, once you pass the main Oshodi market area, the next major place you will hit is Bolade. It is surrounded by other busy areas like Mafoluku, Isolo, and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport road.
When you get to Bolade, there are some places you cannot miss. These landmarks help you know exactly where you are:
Because Bolade is a transport hub, you can find buses going almost everywhere in Lagos from here. Below is a table showing the estimated fare ranges when you want to travel from Bolade.

If you want to catch a bus at Bolade, you need to know exactly where to stand so you don't get confused:
Even though the area is now better than before, you still need to "shine your eye." Here are some tips:
Bolade Oshodi falls under the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State.
While there isn't a BRT park directly at the Bolade junction, the main Oshodi Transport Interchange (which houses all BRT terminals) is just a few minutes' walk from Bolade.
The Arena Market (Nigerian Army Shopping Arena) is located right at Bolade. You can simply walk in through the main gate once you "drop" at the Bolade bus stop.
