Best Time to Travel

To avoid the worst of Lagos' traffic, plan your journey between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. Early mornings (before 7:00 AM) on weekends are also good. Avoid the peak morning rush (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) and evening rush (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM) on weekdays, as travel times can more than double.

Safety Rating

Medium. While generally safe during daylight hours, it's important to remain vigilant. Petty theft, like pickpocketing, can occur at crowded bus stops such as Oshodi and Obalende. There's also a risk of 'one-chance' vehicles (unregistered public transport or taxis with criminal intent), especially if traveling late at night or accepting rides from non-designated parks. Always use recognized public transport and avoid late-night travel if possible.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is a crucial part of this route, particularly from Oshodi or Ojota to Obalende, offering a faster commute on dedicated lanes. The Lagos Red Line train operates from Agbado to Oyingbo/Ebute Metta. While it can be used for the initial leg, it still requires subsequent bus or taxi connections from Oyingbo/Ebute Metta to Obalende and then to Parkview Estate. For now, bus options remain the most straightforward for a full journey to Ikoyi.
