Best Time to Travel

Early mornings (before 7 AM) or late mornings (after 10 AM) are ideal to avoid the worst of the peak hour traffic. Mid-afternoons (1 PM - 3 PM) are also good. Avoid evening peak hours (4 PM - 7 PM) if you are in a hurry.

Safety Rating

Medium. Ikoyi is generally a safer part of Lagos due to its residential and high-security nature. However, general Lagos urban safety rules still apply: be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. 'One-chance' incidents are rare on short, local Keke trips in this area, but pickpocketing can occur in crowded Danfo situations. Always use well-lit routes if walking at night.

BRT / Rail / Water

There is no BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) or rail service directly connecting Banana Island and Gerrard Road. This route is typically served by smaller public transport like Keke Napep (tricycles) or standard mini-buses (Danfos) on main roads.
