The best times to travel are generally mid-mornings (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) and early afternoons (2:00 PM - 3:30 PM). Avoid peak hours from 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM to minimize significant traffic delays.

Safety Rating

Medium. While the route itself isn't known for major highway security risks, general Lagos urban safety precautions apply. Be aware of pickpockets in crowded bus stops and 'one-chance' vehicles, especially if traveling late in the evening. Always board vehicles at recognized bus stops. Avoid flashing valuables. BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is available from Obalende (near Falomo) to Maryland, which is a major junction on Ikorodu Road and a good access point for Somolu. There is no direct train service for this specific route; the Lagos-Ibadan rail line is not relevant for intra-city travel between Banana Island and Somolu.
