Moving from Bariga to Satellite Town takes you from the Mainland area deep into the West district of Lagos. The journey crosses major commercial and traffic corridors including Oshodi, Mile 2, and the Badagry Expressway. Because of the long distance and current fuel price situation, planning your route, time, and budget carefully will save you money and keep you safe.

Walk or enter a small Keke from your house in Bariga to the popular legal bus stop or direct to Oshodi under-bridge park.
Board a big yellow Danfo bus going directly to Mile 2. This bus will pass through Anthony, National Stadium, and Cele bus stop on the expressway.
Drop at Mile 2 Oke, cross the pedestrian bridge safely to the other side, and enter another short-distance Danfo heading towards Agbara or Okokomaiko, then alight at Alakija bus stop.
At Alakija bus stop, cross over and enter a registered Keke napep or Marwa straight into Satellite Town (depending on your exact estate or street like Navy Town or Ijegun Road).
Always hold small 'change' (β¦200 and β¦500 notes) before you enter the Danfo to avoid shouting matches with the conductor.
Keep your bag in front of you at Oshodi and Mile 2, especially when crossing the pedestrian bridges.
Ask the conductor clearly if the bus is going 'Expressway' or 'Inside' before you sit down.
If you are confused about where to drop, look for a uniform man or a local shop owner and ask politely instead of looking lost.
With current fuel prices, you should have at least β¦4,000 if you are using public buses, just to be safe in case prices go up during the rush hour. If you want to use a private ride, keep around β¦15,000 to β¦20,000.
It is not very safe to travel this route late at night, especially after 9:00 PM. Places like Oshodi under-bridge and Mile 2 become dangerous with area boys (agberos) and pickpockets once it is dark. Try your best to complete your journey before night falls.
There is no direct commercial ferry route that goes from Bariga jetty straight to Satellite Town. You have to use the road network for this specific journey.
Do not panic. Mile 2 is a major transport hub. Simply step out of the bus, ask the conductor for your balance money ('change'), and walk to the nearest group of yellow buses or Keke going towards Alakija or Satellite Town.

Best Time to Travel
To beat the heavy morning rush, move out between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM. For afternoon travel, 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM is best. Avoid traveling between 4:30 PM and 8:30 PM unless you want to spend hours in traffic.
Safety Rating
Medium - Be very careful with your phones and bags at Oshodi and Mile 2, especially when it is dark. Avoid putting your phone in your hand while sitting near the bus window to prevent 'one-chance' criminals or pickpockets from snatching it.
BRT / Rail / Water
Yes, partial availability. You can use the Blue Line Rail from Mile 2 to go further down if needed, but it does not connect directly from Bariga. You can also use the BRT corridor along Ikorodu Road for the first leg of your trip to avoid early morning hold-up.
