Best Time to Travel

To avoid the worst of Lagos traffic, travel early in the morning (before 6:30 AM), late morning (after 10:00 AM), or mid-afternoon (between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM). Avoid peak hours from 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM, as travel time can easily triple or quadruple.

Safety Rating

Medium. The route is generally safe during the day, but travelers should remain vigilant. 'One-chance' incidents, where criminals pose as public transport operators, can occur, especially on major routes like Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and Ikorodu Road, particularly at night or in less populated areas. Always use well-populated bus stops, avoid empty vehicles, and be mindful of your personal belongings in crowded places.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is available on major sections of Ikorodu Road, offering a faster and more structured option for parts of your journey. There is no direct train service for this specific route, as the distance is too short for inter-city rail and intra-city rail is still under development for this corridor.
