Mid-morning (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) or early afternoon (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) to avoid the worst of Lagos's peak hour traffic. Avoid 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM.

Medium. Daytime travel is generally safe, but be aware of pickpockets in crowded bus stops like Obalende and Costain. 'One-chance' syndicates can operate, so always use established bus stops and avoid boarding empty or suspicious-looking 'Danfos', especially if traveling late in the evening. Stick to well-populated routes and bus parks. Traffic enforcement by LASTMA and VIO is common around Obalende, the Third Mainland Bridge approaches, and Costain Roundabout; ensure your driver adheres to rules to avoid delays.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT services are available from Obalende to Costain. The Lagos Blue Line Rail offers a direct and fast option from Marina (near Obalende) to National Theatre Station in Iganmu.
