Best Time to Travel

To avoid the worst of Lagos traffic, it's best to travel early in the morning (before 6 AM) or during the mid-day lull (between 11 AM and 2 PM). Avoid peak hours (6 AM - 10 AM and 4 PM - 7 PM) if possible.

Safety Rating

Medium. Daytime travel is generally safe. However, the route to Epe can become isolated in the late evening, making it less advisable for night travel. Always use vehicles from officially recognized motor parks to avoid 'one-chance' situations. LASTMA and VIO officers are very active on the Third Mainland Bridge and Ikorodu Road, especially during peak hours, so ensure your vehicle documents are in order if you're driving (though this guide focuses on public transport).

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT buses are available for parts of the journey (e.g., from Falomo to Ojota), offering a more structured and sometimes faster option. However, there is no direct BRT route or train service that goes all the way to Imokun.
