Best Time to Travel

The best time to travel is between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays to avoid the worst of Lagos's peak hour traffic. Early mornings (before 6:00 AM) on weekends can also be relatively smooth. Avoid traveling during morning rush (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) and evening rush (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM) on weekdays, as journey times can easily triple.

Safety Rating

Medium. While generally safe during the day, the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, particularly from Mile 2 onwards, has a reputation for 'one-chance' incidents and petty crime, especially after dark. Always be aware of your surroundings, avoid displaying valuables, and try to travel in groups or use trusted transport options in the evening. For evening travel, it's safer to use buses from major terminals rather than roadside pickups.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is a significant and reliable option for a large portion of this route, especially from TBS/CMS to Mile 2 and along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. There is no direct train service for this route at the moment; the Lagos Blue and Red rail lines are still under construction or have limited operational segments that don't directly serve Falomo to Ojo end-to-end.
