Best Time to Travel

Early morning (before 6 AM) or late evening (after 9 PM) to avoid the worst of Lagos's intra-city traffic on Western Avenue and Ikorodu Road. For the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, mid-morning (10 AM - 1 PM) or early afternoon (2 PM - 4 PM) generally offers smoother travel, avoiding both morning rush and late evening security concerns. Avoid travelling on Fridays, public holidays, or during major festive seasons as the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway becomes extremely congested.

Safety Rating

Medium. The initial part of the journey within Lagos is generally safe during the day. However, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, especially at night, has a higher risk profile due to 'one-chance' operations (fake public transport where passengers are robbed) and occasional security incidents. It's crucial to use reputable motor parks and avoid boarding vehicles from unofficial stops, especially for the longer stretch. During the day, the main risk is reckless driving. For the final stretch on A1, F204, and CNC Quarry Road, familiarity with the area is key, as these might be less busy roads.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is available along Ikorodu Road, which can be used for the initial part of the journey to connect to Ojota or Berger. The Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge train operates, but its stations (e.g., Ebute Metta, Papalanto, Abeokuta) may not align perfectly with the specific 'Opebi' destination near CNC Quarry Road. It could be an alternative for a segment if your 'Opebi' is close to one of these train stations, but it's not a direct end-to-end solution for this specific road-based route.
