Best Time to Travel

To beat the heavy Lagos morning rush, you should leave Jakande between 5:30 AM and 6:15 AM. If you miss this early window, wait until the off-peak period from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM when the roads are relatively clear. For the evening return journey, try to leave Ikeja before 4:30 PM, or wait out the terrible traffic until after 8:30 PM.

Safety Rating

Medium - The route is generally safe during the day, but you must be careful at major exchange points like CMS and Ikeja Under-Bridge. Watch out for pickpockets who mix with the crowd to steal phones and wallets. Avoid flashing your expensive electronics inside the commercial buses, and keep your bags zipped and held closely to your chest. At night, stay alert and do not board any bus that looks suspicious or has only men inside ('One-Chance' buses).

BRT / Rail / Water

There is no direct BRT bus or Train line that runs all the way from Jakande to Allen Avenue. However, you can use the multi-modal connection: take a local bus to CMS, enter the Blue Line Rail from Marina to Mile 2 or use the BRT corridor along Ikorodu Road up to Ikeja, though connecting via Danfo through Fadeyi/Maryland remains the most direct road alternative.
