Best Time to Travel

To avoid peak traffic congestion, the best times to travel are generally mid-morning (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) or late afternoon (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM). Avoid early mornings (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM) and evenings (4:30 PM - 8:00 PM) when traffic is heaviest, especially on Ikorodu Road and Western Avenue. Weekends generally have lighter traffic.

Safety Rating

Medium. While daytime travel is generally safe, it's important to be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded bus stops and during evening hours. There's a risk of petty theft (pickpockets) in crowded buses and bus stops. 'One-chance' incidents, where criminals pose as public transport operators, are a concern, particularly late at night or in less common routes. Always choose busy, well-lit bus stops and full buses/vehicles.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is a major transport option for a significant portion of this route, offering a more structured and often faster experience than regular 'Danfo' buses. While the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge railway exists, it is not practical or direct for travel between Ketu (Ogun State) and Iponri Lagos. There is no direct rail link to Iponri.
