At the terminal, buy your ticket to Lagos (specifically ask for a terminal closer to Ikeja if offered, like Mazamaza or Jibowu). It's highly recommended to book your ticket online in advance, especially during peak seasons or holidays, to secure your seat. Confirm your luggage allowance; excess luggage might incur extra charges.

Board your luxury bus. These are usually comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles. The journey officially begins, heading out of Enugu. The first major stretch will be towards Onitsha and then Benin City.

The bus will pass through major towns like Onitsha and then make a mandatory rest stop in Benin City for about 20-30 minutes. Travelers can stretch, use the restroom, and buy snacks/food. Another common rest stop is at Ore, before proceeding towards Lagos.

Continue the journey on the Benin-Ore Expressway and then the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Expect several police and military checkpoints along the way. Road conditions vary; some sections are smooth dual carriageways, while others might have potholes or ongoing construction causing slowdowns. The journey duration is typically 9-12 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Upon arrival at the GIGM terminal in Lagos (e.g., Mazamaza or Jibowu), disembark. You will need to make your way to Ikeja. From Mazamaza, you can take a 'Danfo' (yellow bus) or 'Keke Napep' heading towards Mile 2, then connect to Oshodi, and from Oshodi, take another 'Danfo' to Ikeja (e.g., Ikeja Under Bridge, Computer Village, Allen Avenue).
