Best Time to Travel

The best time to depart from Ogba (Benin City) is very early in the morning, between 5 AM and 6 AM. This helps you beat the Benin City traffic, avoid the worst of the interstate congestion, and arrive in Lagos before the peak afternoon traffic builds up. Avoid night travel on interstate roads for safety reasons.

Within Lagos, 'one-chance' syndicates can operate, so be cautious when boarding public transport. BRT / Rail / Water

No direct BRT or train service connects Benin City to Lagos. However, once you arrive in Lagos, the BRT system is available for local travel on designated routes, and the Lagos Blue and Red Rail lines are expanding, though they do not yet cover the Lekki-Epe axis directly to Agungi.
