Moving from Ojodu (near Berger) to Ijegun (in Alimosho/Ojo axis) means crossing from the far north to the south-west of Lagos. It is a long journey that connects through major transport hubs like Oshodi, Isolo, and Ikotun. Because of current high fuel prices and heavy traffic on the expressway, you need to plan your pocket and your time very well.

Go to Ojodu Berger park or stay by the roadside under the bridge and board a straight commercial bus (Danfo) going to Oshodi.
Drop at Oshodi under the bridge or the main interchange, cross over to the side going towards Mile 2, and enter another Danfo going to Cele Bus Stop along the expressway.
At Cele Bus Stop, walk inside the park by the express and enter a Danfo going straight to Ikotun Roundabout via Jakande Gate.
From Ikotun Roundabout, walk down to the Ijegun garage or catch a direct Keke (tricycle) or short-distance Danfo that goes straight down Ikotun-Ijegun road to Ijegun bus stop.
Always hold small change (N100, N200, N500 notes) in your hand so that the conductor will not pair you with another passenger or delay your balance.
Ask the conductor clearly if the bus is going inside Ikotun or dropping at the gate, so you don't get stranded halfway.
Keep your phones and wallets inside your main zipped bag when crossing the Oshodi and Cele pedestrian bridges.
If you are carrying heavy load, look for big buses (Muri buses) at Oshodi, they are sometimes cheaper than small danfos.

Safety Rating
Medium - The route is generally safe during the day because it is always busy. However, you must look look and protect your bag or phone at major crowded parks like Oshodi and Cele, especially when it is getting dark. Avoid late-night movement because one-chance buses can operate around the highway stretches.
BRT / Rail / Water
There is no direct BRT bus or train line from Ojodu straight to Ijegun. However, you can use the standard BRT buses from Berger/Ojodu to get down to Oshodi first, before entering regular commercial buses for the rest of the journey.

No, there is no single direct commercial Danfo bus from Ojodu Berger to Ijegun. You must stop and change buses at least two or three times, usually at Oshodi, Cele, or Ikotun.
If you travel during off-peak hours (mid-day), it can take about 2 hours. But if you enter the morning or evening heavy traffic, the journey can easily take between 2 and a half to 3.5 hours.
If it is late (past 9:00 PM) and Kekes are no longer running to Ijegun, look for the local commercial buses (Danfos) that do short shuttle runs, or join other commuters to split the cost of a local drop taxi or ride-hail car for safety.
