Inquire about direct services to Kaltungo. If a direct bus isn't readily available, book a ticket to Gombe or Bauchi, which are major cities close to Kaltungo, and plan for a local connection.

Board your chosen vehicle (luxury bus, Hiace bus, or shared Sienna). The journey begins by navigating out of Onitsha's busy local roads (like F225) to connect to the major highways heading North-East.

Travel along A232-1, passing through parts of Enugu state, then merge onto the major A3 highway. You will proceed through towns in Benue state, including Otukpo and Makurdi. Expect a designated rest stop around Makurdi or a similar major town for refreshments and stretching.

Continue on A3 through Lafia in Nasarawa state, then proceed towards Akwanga. The route will involve navigating several turns and roundabouts, transitioning onto roads like A344 as you head further north-east, towards the general direction of Plateau and Gombe states.

Transition onto the A4 highway. This road will take you through or past major cities like Bauchi. This section involves several roundabouts and forks as you make your way towards Gombe state.

From the A4, take the fork onto A345, which is the final major road leading into Kaltungo. You'll then take a final turn onto an unnamed local road to reach the arrival point.

You will arrive at the main motor park or a designated drop-off point in Kaltungo. From there, you can easily find local transport options like 'Keke Napep' (tricycles), motorcycles ('Okada'), or local taxis to your final destination within Kaltungo.
