Make your way to the nearest major bus stop in Surulere, such as Ojuelegba, National Stadium, or Bode Thomas. Ojuelegba is a key hub for onward travel to Lagos Island.

From Ojuelegba, look for a 'Danfo' bus heading towards 'Costain' or directly to 'CMS'. Always confirm with the conductor. A direct CMS bus is ideal but not always immediately available.

The bus will travel along Funsho Williams Avenue (Western Avenue). If your bus is going directly to CMS, remain seated. If not, prepare to alight at Costain or Iganmu.

If you dropped at Costain, cross the road carefully and board another 'Danfo' bus specifically heading to 'CMS' or 'TBS' (Tafawa Balewa Square). These buses will take Eko Bridge.

The bus will ascend and descend Eko Bridge, offering panoramic views of the Lagos Lagoon and the cityscape as you approach Lagos Island.

Tell the conductor you're dropping at 'CMS'. The bus will typically terminate at the large CMS bus terminal or drop you very close to the iconic Cathedral Church of Christ.
