Given their respective locations – Trade Fair on the far western end of the mainland and Ikeja more centrally located – the direct distance between them is approximately **25 to 35 kilometers**, depending on the exact starting and ending points. This distance, combined with Lagos's notorious traffic, means travel between the two areas requires careful planning.

Safety and Travel Tips for Your Journey

1. Plan for Traffic: Lagos traffic is unpredictable. Always allocate extra time for your journey, especially during peak hours (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on weekdays). A trip that might take 1 hour can easily stretch to 2-3 hours in heavy traffic.
2. Use Reputable Transport: Stick to the yellow commercial buses ("Danfo") or tricycles ("Keke Napep") from designated bus stops. Avoid unpainted commercial vehicles.
3. Confirm Fares: Always ask for the fare before boarding to avoid misunderstandings.
4. Secure Your Belongings: Keep your bags and valuables close to you, especially in crowded buses and terminals. Be mindful of pickpockets.
5. Stay Alert: Pay attention to your surroundings, especially when making transfers at busy hubs like Oshodi and Mile 2.
6. Ask Questions: Don't hesitate to ask fellow passengers or bus conductors for directions or confirmation of bus routes if you're unsure. Nigerians are generally helpful.
7. Consider Ride-Hailing Apps: For a more comfortable, albeit more expensive, option, ride-hailing services like Uber or Bolt are available. They offer direct routes but will be significantly pricier than public transport.
