Ketu

Ketu is a prominent residential and commercial area that serves as a significant transport interchange. It's often seen as a gateway to various parts of Lagos, particularly for those coming from or heading towards Ikorodu, Ojota, and the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Ketu bus stop is a major landmark, where you can find buses (danfos), tricycles (keke napep), and motorcycles (okada, where permitted) heading in multiple directions.

The area boasts a vibrant street market, various shops, banks, and schools, making it a self-sufficient community. It's a bustling environment, always alive with activity from early morning till late at night.

Mile 12 Market

Just a short distance from Ketu, along the same Ikorodu Road, lies the legendary Mile 12 Market. This market is arguably the most famous and largest perishable goods market in Lagos and perhaps even in West Africa. It's a major distribution point for fresh produce like tomatoes, peppers, onions, fruits, and vegetables, which arrive daily from various parts of Nigeria and neighboring countries.

Mile 12 is a hive of activity 24/7, with traders, buyers, and transporters creating a unique and energetic atmosphere. The market's influence on food supply and prices across Lagos is immense. While primarily known for its market, Mile 12 also functions as a crucial transport hub, connecting travelers to Ikorodu, Epe, and other distant locations.
