Locate an interstate motor park in Azare. For long-distance travel to the East, popular companies like Peace Mass Transit, GUO Transport, or GIGM might have booking offices or loading points. If not, you may need to first travel to a larger hub like Bauchi or Gombe to find a direct bus.

Book your ticket to Orlu. If a direct bus to Orlu isn't available, book to Onitsha (Upper Iweka) or Enugu (9th Mile Corner / Holy Ghost Park), which are major transit hubs for connecting to Orlu.

Board your chosen bus (typically a luxury bus or a Hiace/Coaster bus). The journey begins by departing Azare, joining the Misau - Azare Road, and then connecting to the Kano-Maiduguri Highway.

The bus will continue south on the A3, passing through states like Plateau (around Jos via Yakubu Gowon Way) and Benue (through Makurdi via Makurdi-Jos road). Expect security checkpoints along this long stretch.
