Travel from Orlu to a major interstate bus terminal in Owerri or Onitsha. For Owerri, consider Peace Mass Transit Terminal (Egbu Road) or GIGM Terminal (MCC Road). For Onitsha, go to Upper Iweka where many companies like GUO Transport, Peace Mass, and ABC Transport have terminals.

At the bus terminal, book a direct bus ticket to Azare or Bauchi. If direct to Azare isn't available, book to Bauchi and connect from there. Confirm the departure time and vehicle type (luxury bus, Hummer bus, or Sienna shared taxi).

Depart early in the morning. The journey will take approximately 12-16 hours, including brief stops for refreshments and stretching. The route generally follows the A3 highway through Enugu, Makurdi, Jos, and Bauchi.

Expect security checkpoints along the way, especially when crossing state borders or entering major towns. Have your ID ready.

Upon arrival at the Bauchi bus terminal, if your bus didn't go directly to Azare, you will find local taxis or shared Sienna vehicles heading to Azare. The journey from Bauchi to Azare is about 1.5-2 hours.

Arrive at the main motor park in Azare. From here, you can take a local 'Keke Napep' (tricycle) or taxi to your final destination within Azare.
