Step 2: Book your ticket to Lagos. Specify your destination as 'Lagos' or 'Jibowu/Ojota' if the company has multiple drop-off points. You'll typically get a seat in a Toyota Hiace (14-seater), Sprinter, or a larger luxury bus depending on the company and fare.

Step 3: Depart from Ife. The journey starts by connecting to the Ife-Ibadan Road, then onto the major Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The trip is largely direct, passing through parts of Oyo State. Expect a few security checkpoints along the expressway. The road conditions on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway vary, with ongoing construction in some sections, leading to occasional diversions and slow traffic. There are no major designated rest stops on this route, but drivers might pull over briefly for a quick break.

Step 4: Arrive at the Lagos terminal. Major interstate bus companies usually drop passengers at terminals around Jibowu, Yaba, or Ojota. Jibowu (Yaba) is generally closer to UNILAG.

Step 5: Connect to UNILAG Main Campus from Jibowu/Ojota. If you arrive at Jibowu, you can take a 'Danfo' (yellow commercial bus) heading to Yaba, then another one to Akoka/UNILAG gate. Alternatively, from Jibowu or Ojota, you can find 'Keke Napep' (tricycle) or commercial motorcycles ('Okada' - if permitted on route) directly to UNILAG. Be prepared for Lagos traffic.
