Step 1: Get to a major interstate motor park in Lagos. For luxury bus companies like GIGM, ABC Transport, and GUO, common departure terminals are located at Jibowu (Ojuelegba), Maza Maza, or Amuwo Odofin. Peace Mass Transit also has terminals in various locations including Iyana-Ipaja and Oshodi.

Step 2: Book your ticket. It is highly recommended to book your ticket at least a day or two in advance, especially when traveling with popular companies or during festive seasons. You can book online via their websites or mobile apps, or directly at the park's booking counter. Confirm your seat, departure time, and luggage allowance.

Step 3: Board your bus. Most luxury and executive buses depart between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. You will typically travel in a large, air-conditioned vehicle. The journey will take you through the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, then via Ibadan, Ife, Akure, Owo, Okene, and Lokoja before finally arriving in Abuja.

Step 4: Rest stops. The bus will make 2-3 scheduled rest stops along the way, usually in towns like Akure or Owo, and then in Lokoja. These stops typically last 20-30 minutes, allowing passengers to stretch, use restrooms, and buy food or drinks. Be punctual when returning to the bus.

Step 5: Arrival in Abuja. Your bus will likely terminate at a major park such as Jabi Park, Utako Park, or a company-specific terminal (e.g., GIGM terminal in Jabi, ABC terminal in Utako). From there, you can easily find local taxis (yellow cabs), Bolt/Uber, or Keke Napep to reach your specific destination within Abuja.
