Best Time to Travel

Early mornings (before 6:30 AM) or late mornings (after 10:00 AM) are best to avoid peak traffic. Late afternoons (after 7:00 PM) can also be less congested, but safety considerations increase.

Safety Rating

Medium. While main routes are generally safe during the day, pickpocketing is common in crowded buses and bus stops. 'One-chance' (robbery by fake public transport operators) can occur, especially when traveling late at night or in sparsely populated areas. Always use recognized bus stops and well-populated vehicles.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Blue buses) is a viable option for a significant portion of this route, particularly from the Island to Oshodi/Ikeja Along. There is currently no direct rail link for this specific intra-city route, although the Lagos Blue Line rail project is under construction and will eventually connect Marina to Mile 2, which could serve as a partial alternative in the future.
