Moving from Sangotedo on the Lekki axis down to Cele Bus Stop along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway is a long trip across Lagos. It takes you from the Island back to the Mainland, crossing major bridges and busy expressways. Because of heavy traffic and current fuel price changes, you need to plan your pocket and your time well before you start this journey.

Walk or enter a small Keke from your street inside Sangotedo to the main Sangotedo Bus Stop on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
Board a commercial yellow bus (Danfo) heading towards Ajah or straight to CMS. If you stop at Ajah, you will catch another direct big Danfo or Coaster bus going straight to CMS or Obalende.
From CMS Bus Stop, cross over and enter another Danfo that is heading straight to Oshodi. This bus will take you through the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
At Oshodi Under-bridge, move to the park facing the Mile 2/Apapa expressway and enter a short-trip Danfo dropping passengers directly at Cele Bus Stop.
Always carry smaller Naira notes (change) so you will not have issues with Danfo drivers and conductors.
Listen carefully to the conductor when he calls out the destination so you do not enter the wrong bus.
Keep your bags firmly in front of you when passing through the crowded walkways at Oshodi and CMS.
Ask the conductor if the bus is going 'Express' or it will be stopping at every bus stop along the way.

Safety Rating
Medium - You must stay very sharp, especially around busy connections like CMS, Oshodi, and Cele Under-bridge. Keep your phones and wallets inside your bags when boarding yellow buses (Danfo) and watch out for pickpockets at night.
BRT / Rail / Water
There is no direct BRT or train line that links Sangotedo straight to Cele. However, you can use standard Cowry-card regulated buses on some parts of the Island expressway, or hop on the Blue Line Rail from Marina to Mile 2 if you choose an alternate coastal link.

With the current high fuel prices, it is safest to hold at least β¦4,500 to β¦5,000 for public transport so you do not get stranded if fares go up slightly during emergency traffic peaks.
No, you cannot find a single commercial Danfo bus that goes directly from Sangotedo to Cele. You must change buses at least two or three times, with major connection points at CMS, Obalende, or Oshodi.
Please do not attempt to run across the busy Apapa-Oshodi Expressway at Cele. The vehicles move very fast on that corridor. Always use the pedestrian bridge provided at the bus stop to save your life.
Yes, Lagos commercial drivers almost always increase their prices whenever it rains because the road gets flooded, traffic worsens, and fewer buses remain on the road. Fares can jump up by an extra β¦500 to β¦1,000.
