Best Time to Travel

For morning trips, leave before 6:30 AM to beat the heavy traffic building up around Ojuelegba and Oshodi. For afternoon trips, 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM is usually free. In the evening, try to move before 4:30 PM or wait until after 8:30 PM when the heavy workers' rush has reduced.

Safety Rating

Medium - Be very alert at Oshodi Interchange and Cele bus stop, especially in the early mornings and late nights. Pickpockets are common in these crowded areas. Keep your phones and wallets inside your bags, do not hold them loosely in your hands. Avoid showing expensive items and do not enter any bus that looks suspicious or has passengers whispering to each other.

BRT / Rail / Water

Yes, but only for part of the journey. You can use the BRT bus or Lagos Rail Mass Transit (Blue Line / Red Line connection) from Palmgrove to move down towards Yaba, Oshodi, or Surulere. However, there is no direct BRT or train line that drops inside Cele bus stop on the expressway. You must still use a local Danfo or private ride to complete the last leg.
