The area around Ojo Cantonment is always bubbling with activity. Because it is situated on a major international highway, it serves as a central point for people traveling towards Badagry, Seme Border, or even Agbara in Ogun State. Ojo Cantonment is located in Ojo Local Government Area (LGA). This local government is known for hosting major institutions like the Lagos State University (LASU) and the world-famous Alaba International Market.
The Cantonment itself sits on a vast piece of land along the expressway. It is bordered by Iyana-Iba to the west and the Volks/Barracks bus stop area to the east. The terrain is mostly flat, but the road is often busy due to the ongoing construction and expansion of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
Getting to Ojo Cantonment is quite easy because it is located on a major road. Most "Danfo" (yellow buses) that are heading towards "Okoko" (Okokomaiko) or "Agbarra" will pass directly in front of the Cantonment.
If you are at Mile 2, you can enter a bus heading to Iyana-Iba or Okoko. Tell the conductor you will "drop" at Barracks or Ojo Cantonment. The road is much better now, so the journey is faster than before.
From Oshodi, go to the terminal where they load buses heading to Mile 2 or Abule-Ado. Some buses go straight to Iyana-Iba. If you enter the one going to Iyana-Iba, it will pass right in front of the Cantonment gate.
