If you have lived in Lagos for a while, you must have heard about Ogba. Ogba is one of the busiest and most popular places on the Lagos Mainland. It is a mix of residential houses, big offices, and industrial companies. For many people, Ogba is a "center point" because it links different parts of Lagos like Ikeja, Agege, and Berger.
Whether you are coming to Ogba to work, visit the famous Excellence Hotel, or you just want to "enter bus" to another part of the city, understanding the layout of this place is very important. In this guide, we will break down everything you need to know about Ogba, the Local Government it falls under, and how much you should expect to pay for transport.
Ogba is located in a very strategic position. Technically, Ogba falls under two different Local Government Areas (LGAs) depending on which side of the road you are standing. A large part of Ogba is under Ikeja Local Government Area, while the other parts (stretching towards Ijaiye) fall under Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area.
Ogba is bordered by several popular towns. To the North, you have Ojodu and Berger. To the South, you have Ikeja (the state capital). To the West, you have Agege, and to the East, you have the Lagos Secretariat at Alausa. The terrain is mostly flat and well-paved, making it easy for cars and buses to move around, although traffic can be "tough" during rush hours.
If you are new to the area, these are the places you can use as your "bus stop" or landmark:
