Best Time to Travel

Early mornings (before 6:00 AM) or late mornings (after 10:00 AM) are best to avoid the worst of the morning rush. For evening travel, aim to depart before 3:00 PM to beat the evening gridlock. Weekends generally offer lighter traffic.

Safety Rating

Medium. While Lagos is generally safe during the day, the Apapa-Kirikiri axis can be less secure at night due to heavy truck presence and isolated areas. Always be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded bus stops like Mile 2, where pickpocketing can occur. 'One-chance' syndicates, though less common now, are a general risk in any shared public transport, especially late at night. Stick to busy routes and well-lit areas.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT buses do not offer a direct route to Kirikiri from Ikoyi, though you can use them for parts of the journey (e.g., from CMS to Mile 2 if a route is available, or to connect to other major hubs). There is no direct train service connecting Ikoyi to Kirikiri. The Lagos Blue Line rail is under development and could offer partial connectivity in the future, but is not a full solution for this route yet.
