Best Time to Travel

To avoid heavy traffic, plan your journey between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM on weekdays. Early mornings (before 6:00 AM) and late evenings (after 8:00 PM) can also be less congested, but safety precautions should be heightened during these times. Weekends generally have lighter traffic, but major markets or events can still cause delays.

Safety Rating

Medium. While generally safe during the day, Lagos traffic can present security challenges. Be cautious of your belongings, especially at crowded bus stops. 'One-chance' syndicates operate, so avoid boarding empty buses or those with suspicious-looking passengers, particularly in the evenings or late at night. Always look for a bus with other passengers already inside.

BRT / Rail / Water

BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is a good option for parts of this journey, specifically from Ajah/Abraham Adesanya to CMS/TBS, and from CMS/TBS to Oshodi. There is no direct train service for this route. The Lagos Blue Line and Red Line rail projects are ongoing but not yet fully operational for this specific inter-city connection.
